Often referred to as “the quiet side of the river,” Lakemoor Hills is south of the University of Tennessee Medical Center and west of Alcoa Highway. Located across the river from Sequoyah Hills, Lyons View, and Lyons Bend.

Situated south of the University of Tennessee Medical Center and west of Alcoa Highway, the Lakemoor Hills neighborhood is frequently referred to as the quiet side of the river. Lakemoor Hills consists of around 250 homes, with some dating back to the early 1900s.

The neighborhood is convenient for people who often commute to the University of Tennessee, UT Medical Center, and Knoxville’s McGhee Tyson Airport. Alcoa Highway provides quick access to all of these locations and to Interstates 40, 75, and 81.

The quiet wooded roads in Lakemoore Hills have limited traffic, large manicured landscaped lots, are offer miles of shoreline on Ft. Loudoun Lake. Within the Lakemoore Hills, there are several historic sites: McCarrell Cabin and McCarrell Springs, Speedwell Manor, Well Cemetery, and Rivermont. Lakemoore Hills is currently zoned for Mount Olive Elementary, South Doyle Middle, and South Doyle High Schools.

The beauty of Lakemoore Hills really shines in the spring when the dogwood trees are in full bloom. This neighborhood is one of 13 in Knoxville that host the Dogwood Arts Trail every spring. The Dogwood Arts Trail is a scenic route that showcases the blooming dogwood trees. Residents and locals enjoy walking, biking, or driving along the trail.
